LIVESTOCK TEAM
The livestock team are responsible for our cattle and their health. Team members are expected to take a ‘whole of team’ approach and be flexible and ready to perform a large range of duties. The role includes daily pen–riding, cattle movements, general animal husbandry and other general maintenance. Our livestock team are required to have strong animal welfare ethic for cattle, work well in a team, have sound riding skills, ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions, and have a willingness to learn. It is desired in a livestock team member to have horses ready to use in a work environment. Remuneration is provided for all horses in work as well as hay, farrier, and drench.FARMING TEAM
The farming team is responsible for a large variety of tasks including livestock husbandry (sheep and cattle), machinery operation, and general maintenance. Skills required include a strong work ethic and willingness to learn, strong animal welfare ethic, adaptability, reliability, communication and working well in a team. Desired (but not required) skills include experience in machinery operation, HR, HC, or MC license, ChemCert, basic mechanical knowledge and a willingness to work longer hours during busy season (sowing, harvest).MAINTENANCE TEAM
The maintenance team is responsible for ensuring all feedlot, farm and machinery maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and precise manner while maintaining integrity of the site. The maintenance team works closely with the feeding and milling team but also with external parties (contractors, suppliers) as required. Daily tasks include machinery operation, maintenance, and infrastructure repairs. Skills required by the team include experience with machinery maintenance, communication, attention to detail, decision making, problem solving. Welding skills are desired but not essential.FEEDING & MILLING TEAM
The feeding and milling team are responsible for the daily operation of the mill and feeding, and ensuring this is completed daily in a timely and accurate manner while maintaining integrity of the feedlot commodity systems. Tasks include mill and machinery operation, commodity receival, storage and testing, maintenance of the mill, and feeding out, while maintaining a clean and healthy work environment. Skills required include teamwork, reliability, attention to detail, communication and problem solving.ADMINISTRATION TEAM
The administration team is responsible for ensuring that administrative and accounting tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner. This team works closely with each other as well as external partners (cattle buyers, suppliers, visitors, customers). Daily tasks vary and revolve around accounts, communications, cattle movements and commodity inventory. Members of this team require an attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making skills, reliability and the ability to work in a team.GET IN TOUCH
